Cebu City – The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) retains its International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 quality management system (QMS) certification with exemplary remarks after its follow up external audit held last August 13 carried out by TÜV Rheinland Phils. Inc.
Before CCCI’s re-certification to the 2015 version of the ISO 9001, the organization has been ISO 9001:2008 certified by the governing board of Certification International Philippines, Inc. since September 2010.
Being the only ISO-certified Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, the CCCI is in constant pursuit of providing an efficient QMS standard. Having been recertified is proof of its continuous efforts of meeting the requirement of a “documented quality management system”, instead of a system of documents.
CCCI’s ISO Certification covers the design, development, and provision of CCCI members with Membership Development Service, Business Development Service, External Affairs and Relations Service, Cebu Business Month Service, Financial Management Service, Human Resource Development and Administration, and Executive Office.
The ISO certification highlights the seal of business excellence that demonstrates the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements which reflects that the management is making sure that CCCI is improving in all aspects, not only in terms of physical amenities but also the people behind it.
This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. (DYARNewsCenter/JB/PR)
