Cebu City – The first Private Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (PMVIC) in Central Visayas is ready to serve the motorists in Cebu.
This after Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 officially introduced to the public the PMVIC of Rocket Cargo situated at Subangdaku in Mandaue City.
LTO 7 regional director Victor Emmanuel Caindec together with the owners of Rocket Cargo and other PMVIC operators in the region showed yesterday how the modern facility works.
Caindec said that Rocket Cargo is awaiting their Authority to Operate which will be issued by the Authorization Committee of the Department of Transportation(DOTr).
The said facility has an area of 5,000 square meters which can accommodate both motor vehicles and motorcycles in one inspection at a time.

The regional director added that under the LTO Memorandum Circular 2018-2158 on the Guidelines for the Authorization of Private Motor Vehicle Inspection Centers, there will be 14 sites in Central Visayas where PMVIC will be available.
Caindec also revealed that out of the 14, seven (7) PMVICs are nearing the completion of its facilities.
Cebu City – The 14 PMVIC in Central Visayas will be located in Cebu City (3); Carcar City (1); Mandaue City (2); Naga City (1); Danao City (1); Tagbilaran City (1); Tubigon (1); Talibon (1); Dumaguete City (2); ug Bais City (1).
