Cebu City – Globe continues its aggressive network roll out with the approval to build 18 new cell sites in the city of Talisay in Cebu. The connectivity partnership of the telco company with Talisay includes provision of Globe at Home Prepaid Wifi with 3 months of data load to each of its 22 barangays. Globe is likewise supporting the COVID communication campaign of these barangays by providing merchandising collaterals on COVID data and precautionary reminders which will be deployed across Talisay.
“In a world where we work and learn from home, internet connectivity is very important. Globe has really helped us in the city of Talisay to move forward and face a new normal in the middle of this pandemic,” said Talisay City Mayor Samsam Gullas.
For Globe Regional Sales Head Adonis Evangelista, “We are pleased to provide connectivity specially in areas which have been overlooked. Thank you to Talisay for allowing us to partner with you in providing this essential need to be connected, to boost livelihood and enable your constituents to thrive in this new normal.”
Mayor Gullas led the connectivity partnership ceremony along with Vice-Mayor Allan Bucao and the city council, and members of the Association of Barangay Captains headed by Hon. Josefina Concial. Globe representatives included Area Sales Head Dioscoro Cuizon and SIte Acquisition Management Lead Jacqueline Soquino.
Globe’s rollout in Talisay is part of a long term program to enhance the mobile experience of the entire city. It is also aligned with the company’s 3-pronged strategy to improve data experience through aggressive cell site builds, upgrading all cell sites to 4G/LTE, and fast tracking the fiberization of Filipino homes nationwide.
